About Us
What is USR?
The Unified Social Registry (USR) aims to establish a repository of households and its members in Somalia.
The USR data repository will enable social programmes and interventions to determine eligibility, facilitate inclusion, and enable intra-programme coordination of benefits.
The USR facilitates a common registration gateway for social protection programmes to adopt and leverage a uniformed and systematic approach.
Core Functions
The USR data repository will enable social programmes and interventions to determine eligibility, facilitate inclusion, and enable intra-programme coordination of benefits.
-
Gather and Maintain information on Somalia’s citizens and households.
-
Facilitate a harmonised survey for the collection of data about households’ basic information and living conditions.
-
Enable multiple social programmes and services to use the collected information for their own targeting.
-
Maintain an up-to-date registry, to the extent possible, through a two-way communication with programmes connected to the USR.
